The capacity of a professional ice cream machine

So you buy an ice cream maker, but how much ice cream does it actually make?

That is a very good question that is not so easy to answer.

Keep the following facts in mind:

  • What is the composition of my base product?
    Does it contain a lot or a little sugar? Does it contain a lot or a little air?
    Milk-based ice cream will take less time than water-based lemon ice cream.
  • The cooler the room, the less time your ice cream maker needs to make ice cream.
    Never place an ice cream maker in the sun or next to a heater!
  • Ensure your Musso always has at least 50 cm of "breathing room" around the machine. It is air-cooled and therefore needs space to blow out hot air.
  • Is the manufacturer's capacity statement correct?
